“It seems that over the past ten years (at least) the creative side of music has been engulfed by dreamers who dream of things other than the music. It’s almost as if it’s becoming more and more of a fetish than an actual art form. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t have photographer DJs, fashion DJs, fashion Producers, analog Nazis – I’m sure all this stuff is needed but with all these different new genres of people that have discovered underground (for want of a better word) they don’t seem to be moving it anywhere – it doesn’t seem to be progressing in anyway. By underground I’m talking about a place where I started off in music. It was a passion for wanting to do something different than anybody else. Luckily at this time I started despising sport. I think I was around 15 or 16 and I had enough of little boys fighting over footballs. I make music for myself. To be honest, that is all anyone can do. I will make music forever.”
